Welcome to the Track & Field section of Huntingdonshire Athletics Club


Coaching and training sessions for all age groups (minimum age 9 years) take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:45 pm to 8:45 pm at the St Ives Outdoor Centre athletics track.


Hunts AC athletes compete in the:

Southern Athletics League (ages 15 to Seniors)

East Anglian League (ages 9 to Seniors)

Eastern Veteran's League (women ages 35 - 65; men ages 40 to 65)


Other competitions include:  club championships, county championships, 3 open meets at St Ives.


All outdoor track & field competitions run from April to September.

17/08/2019  Southern Athletics League, Thurrock  details

Franki Riley and sisters Hannah & Sarah Ridley were top Hunts AC performers in the final Southern Athletics League meet of the season, held at Havering, with each picking up an A string victory.  Franki comfortably won her 400 race by four seconds with 62.1 secs, while Hannah took first in the 800m with 2:20.2.  Sarah placed first in the shot putt with 9.96m.  Martin Gardner picked up a couple of personal bests in the triple jump (7.49m) and discus (31.70m) with Bob Ellingham winning the B string in the latter event with a hurl of 29.96m.  Further personal bests came from Seb Darnell in the 2000m steeplechase (7:25.6 which gets him a national top 100 entry) and Maisie Isaac in the long jump (4.19m).
