Welcome to the Track & Field section of Huntingdonshire Athletics Club

 

Coaching and training sessions for all age groups (minimum age 9 years) take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:45 pm to 8:45 pm at the St Ives Outdoor Centre athletics track.

 

Hunts AC athletes compete in the:

Southern Athletics League (ages 15 to Seniors)

East Anglian League (ages 9 to Seniors)

Eastern Veteran's League (women ages 35 - 65; men ages 40 to 65)

 

Other competitions include:  club championships, county championships, 3 open meets at St Ives.

 

All outdoor track & field competitions run from April to September.

15/01/2022  Southern Counties U13/U15/U17 Indoor Champs, Lee Valley  details

Moria Howard won the bronze medal in the Southern Counties Under 17 Women's indoor triple jump championship with 10.53m.  Moria has another year to go in this age group.  Southern Counties incorporates 19 counties from Norfolk down to Sussex and Cornwall.
Moria also long jumped 4.68m in the qualifying rounds.
U17W 60m Ht 6 - 5th Amy Morrish 8.59 PB
U13G 60m Ht 3 - 6th Eden Downer 9.37 PB

18/12/2021  South of England AA Indoor Pentathlon (U17W) Champs, Lee Valle  details

Denise reports:
Moving from being a super middle-distance runner, Eliza Mardon completed her first-ever pentathlon indoors and first-ever multi-event competition.  Five technical events in one day required a great deal of focus and fitness.  Eliza came 8th out of 15 in the Southern U17W indoor pentathlon and ran the 2nd fastest time of the day in the 800m.
60m Hurdles 10.96 PB by 0.21
High jump 1.39m just off PB of 1.40m
Shot 7.21m PB by almost one metre (6.24m)
Long jump 4.54m just off PB (4.60m)
800m 2:33.51 indoor PB, winning her heat 
Total points - 2481 (Eliza established a club U17W indoor pentathlon record)
Great start !!
